celebrations of life
Funerals aren’t for everyone.
Behind every loss is a beloved human or a pet with a unique story and a singular soul worthy of honoring. Amazing Grace, Psalm 23, and mournful black funeral garb may speak to some - but certainly not to all. I am here to serve those who want something different for themselves and for their loved ones. If you are looking for a special way to celebrate a life that feels true to the life lived, I would be honored to work with you.
Perhaps you have received a terminal diagnosis and you have courageously decided that you want to have a living funeral, or you want to plan your own memorial service.
Maybe you are facing the dreadful reality of having to euthanize your dear animal companion, and you would like a supportive ritual to honor your pet as they make this transition.
It could be that your loved one has died, and they would have absolutely hated a standard funeral service. They would have wanted to go out in style - their style.
Maybe you’ve already had a funeral service, or you didn’t get a chance (because covid, or any other reason) and you feel like it didn’t quite hit the mark. You want a memorial that really addresses the complicated grief that is felt and that truly honors your dear one.
Wherever you are coming from, I will meet you there.
As an end of life doula and funeral celebrant, it is my honor to midwife life transitions and to celebrate every the fullness of every soul. I am available in person in the Winston-Salem, NC area to officiate ceremonies. My remote offerings include end of life planning and ceremony writing/consulting. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and connect with me.
